Basel can assist with Licensing Requirements
An operating licence is required for a Company to facilitate remote gambling services to a customer from Jersey and Basel eBusiness can assist you with this application.
Fees for remote licences start at £35k for the 1st year and may graduate for subsequent years depending on the levels of net gaming yield* established in the previous operating year.
For example:
- A Licence Fee of £35,000 will apply if the gambling yield in the relevant period was less than £1M.
- A Licence Fee of £70,000 applies if the gambling yield in the relevant period equalled or exceeded £1M but was less than £6.5M.
- A Licence Fee of £140,000 will apply if the gambling yield in the relevant period equalled or exceeded £6.5M.
An initial probity fee of £5k will apply for the due diligence required and undertaken by the Jersey Gambling Commission.
A licence is valid for 3 years and a reduced probity fee can be charged on renewal. It is estimated an application can take up to 3 months to process, but ultimately will be directed by the quality of the information initially provided to the Jersey Gambling Commission.
Each application is unique and depends upon the complexity of the company structure and nature of the business. Basel eBusiness will guide you through this process by handling the application (and any subsequent renewal) on your behalf.
*Yield (also known as GGY- Gross Gaming Yield) is the amount paid in by customers less payments in prizes.
